"The Restaurants of Tubac Village" Art show features 25 paintings from the Tubac area.
The show opens with April 6th 5:30-7:30 and runs until May 13.

"Dinner for four at Six" This little (6x8) painting is from a photo I took while dining with friends at Wisdom's. I loved the orange wall and that bacame the subject of this piece. "5 O"Clock Shadow" This piece is of the front of the new Nob Hill restaurant. a couple walking by agreed to pose and the chairs shadow became the subject. |

"Shady Deal" 11x14 I painted out in front of the Old Tubac Inn on the Sunday of the Tubac Studio Tour. These yellow umbrellas have been my subject on several occasions and they are one of my favoite spots in Tubac. To the four boys dining at the front table that ended up in the painting -I just want to clarify- the name refers to the umbrellas. Thanks for being my models! |

On a recent visit to Washington DC , I saw this hand lettered sign in the Hirshorn Museum. I don't know how old it is or which artist wrote it but it's sentiment really appealed to me and I think of these notes as I prepare a piece for exhibition. |
